Today, we got up and ate a nice breakfast at the hotel, before taking a bus to Togendai station, where we got on a gondola, which took us over Mt. Hakone and to Gora Station (the ride was pretty relaxing, but due to the foggy weather we couldn’t see a ton; cool nonetheless).
At Gora station, we got a hot dog as a snack and then walked to The Hakone Open-Air Museum, which was essentially a bunch of random outdoor art pieces (+ a few indoor exhibits). We walked around quite a bit, and sat a bit at a foot onsen (it was pretty chilly out, so putting our feet in hot water felt nice).
After the open-air museum, we took another bus to Hakone Sightseeing Cruise Motohakone-ko Pier, where we grabbed another snack from 7/11, before boarding a boat (pirate ship themed, clearly for the tourists), which took us across Lake Ashi, and back to Togendai station (where we started the day).
We took one final bus back to our hotel, where we took a quick dip in our onsen before heading to eat another tasty dinner. After dinner, we shared some of our 7/11 umeshu (it was better than expected; probably the 2nd best out of our 3 umeshu experiences on this trip) before making some plans for our next day. We slept a bit earlier today since we were pretty tired.
