Onomichi

Today was our travel day to Onomichi. We got on the Shinkansen, ate our bento box lunches on the train, and arrived at our hotel (Green Hill Hotel Onomichi) around 12:30 pm. Our hotel was towards one end of town, so once we dropped off our luggage, we made our way across town to the bottom of a nearby Gondola. Along the way, we passed through the main (covered) street in Onomichi....

Today was our big bike ride day. We woke up and walked to a nearby bike rental place ~7, and by the time we got our e-bikes and took a short ferry across the water to the start of the Shimanami Kaido bike route, it was 8:30 am. We planned to bike one way on the “blue route,” which was ~45 miles until we reached the town of Imabari (i.i.imabari! Cycle Station)....
