Still feeling some jet lag, we woke up a bit earlier than intended today (~5:30 am). Lucy had to get ready for the competition a bit earlier, so it worked out. Around 10 am, Benton went to watch Lucy compete (Lucy got 5th, and was overall satisfied with her performance; this is the first competition she has gone through with no deductions).
After Lucy finished competing, she stuck around to watch some of the later athletes, while Benton went to the park nearby, 大通り公園水の広場, to read his book (11/22/63 by Stephen King).
Once the other US competitors competed, Lucy and Benton headed back to the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse to roam some of the shops in a different section (Benton bought a tote bag and a funny little coin purse), before getting ice cream and walking to another shopping mall (Yokohama World Porters). At the other shopping mall, Lucy found a fun pair of sneakers, and we also grabbed a handful of different hand/face creams. Finally, we got lunch at the food court (Lucy got a soupless ramen + Benton got a bowl with rice + some assorted raw fish).
Lucy hurriedly then Ubered back to the Wushu competition to see another US athlete compete, and Benton continued to roam around along the water for a bit. We both reconvened at an electronics store near the apartment (slightly underwhelming, but still kind of cool).
Both of us were pretty tired at this point, so we hung out in the hotel for a bit, before Lucy headed to take pictures at the Wushu competition closing ceremony (Benton took a nap).
For dinner, we went to a pretty small, but busy Japanese curry place (Berg Yayoi Machiten), before heading to bed (Lucy ended up getting up around midnight to go visit with some other competitors in the hotel).
